Albums

The discography of American rock band Toto includes 13 studio albums, 4 live albums, and a number of compilations. In addition to releasing original music, Toto has also done collaborations with other artists as well as on soundtracks for films. The band has won multiple Grammy Awards for their work.

Before Toto was formed the members of the group played session work for other musicians. David Paich, the son of session drummer Marty Paich, and Jeff Porcaro (the brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro and drummer Jeff Porcaro) all played on Boz Scaggs’ 1975 album Silk Degrees. The group's collaboration led to the formation of Toto in the year 1976.

Turn Back, Toto's third studio album, was criticized by critics for lacking hit singles. In 1985, the group's lead singer Fergie Fredericksen left The band held auditions to find a new frontman. Guitarist Steve Lukather was chosen, and the group recorded their 1986 album Fahrenheit.
